The heavy-duty columns are constructed from industrial-grade steel and powder-coated to shield the material in the outdoor elements. One post is 2' to 4' taller than the 8' entry height to slope the canopy, protecting it from direct wind gusts and water pooling. The commercial fabric shade is made from fade-resistant polyethylene which will cool the space below up to 15 degrees while withstanding wind gusts up to 93 mph.
