Upload Existing Layout Plan (Import PDF/images) - Top Menu Options

TheUpload my deckfeature allows users to import existing layout plans or reference files directly into the Deck Designer Tool. This option supports bothPDF and image formats (JPEG, PNG)and is designed to help users work from pre-existing materials, visualize real projects, or replicate completed designs within the digital environment.

1. Users can upload deck plans inPDF,JPEG, orPNGformats. This flexibility ensures compatibility with common file types used in design, construction, or client documentation.
2. Uploaded plans can serve as avisual guideor as astarting pointfor creating a new design. Users can trace, modify, or rebuild their existing layouts digitally, helping maintain accuracy and design continuity.
3. Once imported, users canoverlay design toolssuch as shapes, rulers, text, and color options on top of the uploaded plan. This allows users to adjust or redesign sections of an existing plan without losing its core structure.
4. By aligning uploaded plans with the design canvas grid, users can maintainprecise measurements and proportions, ensuring that the new digital design closely mirrors the original layout.

How to Upload a Deck Plan

1. Navigate to thetop menuand click theUpload my Deckoption.
2. Select the file format you want to upload (PDF, JPEG, or PNG).
3. Browse your device and choose the desired file.
4. Once uploaded, the plan will appear on the design canvas.
5. Adjust thescale and positionof the uploaded file to align it properly with the design grid.
6. Use available design tools (shapes, text, colors, rulers) to enhance or modify the imported layout.

Additional Notes

• Large PDF or image files may take slightly longer to upload depending on file size and browser performance.
• The uploaded deck plan serves as astatic background reference; users can design or overlay editable elements above it.
• Uploaded files arenot automatically saved- users must save the project or export the design to preserve the imported plan.
• Bothregistered and guest userscan use this feature, but only registered users can save their uploaded plans permanently.
