To preserve the integrity and beauty of the wood, a NaturalKote soy-based stain is added to the surface, protecting it from rain and other outdoor elements. Yellow pine has a paint option instead of stained for a strong vibrant color with acrylic exterior paint for a strong appearance, however, this is only recommended if the glider bench is going to be placed under cover, such as a pavilion or a canopy.
